Throughout life, we all face our own struggles, heartbreaks and challenges. At times, we can feel completely overwhelmed, lost, fearful, frightened, alone or in despair.

If you’re looking for help with anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), CPTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder), stress, OCD, self-harm, anger, addiction, grief, or relationship and family issues, I can help you to find a life that works well for you by using the techniques, learning and wisdom of the human givens approach.

I can also help you build confidence in areas such as public speaking, taking exams, giving presentations, performing on stage, sporting performance or taking your driving test, for example.

who i am

I’m Christina Johnson, a kind, caring and experienced human givens psychotherapist. And having discovered the human givens approach on my own personal journey through healing from complex trauma, depression and anxiety, I’ve made it my life’s mission to share this life-changing and transformational approach with others.

You’ll receive a warm welcome at my private practice in north London or we can work together online, or on FaceTime or phone if preferred.

What is the human givens approach?

Human Givens therapy is a practical, holistic, scientific approach, focusing on what individuals need to live mentally healthy and fulfilling lives. The human givens approach has been revolutionising psychotherapy, mental health provision, education and much more for over 20 years, and is also used in schools and social care settings.

Who I work with

I provide therapy and counselling to adults, children and young people from around the UK and overseas too. I’m also happy to take referrals from the NHS or charitable organisations, and I already provide counselling services to several organisations, charities and businesses in the UK and abroad.

How I can help

If you’re looking for a warm, supportive space to get clear on your present challenges, focus on what you want to change, and be given compassionate support, guidance and encouragement to allow you to bravely make these changes, then get in touch and we can begin this important work together. I can help you achieve those changes – moving at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable for you – and leave the past where it belongs: firmly in the past. You’re stronger and more resourceful than you know.

What my clients say

I understand how important it is to find a suitable therapist for your needs. You want to know that you’re making the right decision by working with me. If you need a little more persuading about why I’m the right therapist for you, take a look at what some of my previous clients have said about working with me.

Throughout my sessions I felt totally relaxed and that I could immerse in a safe space.

Through the rewind technique it helped me to process events and by the end of the sessions I felt my confidence increase and had a positive outlook. I was impressed by the rewind technique and how quick, easy and painless it was.
